As a licensed clinical social worker and board-certified supervisor with over 25 years of experience, I am dedicated to providing compassionate mental health therapy to children, adolescents, and families. I believe that when families learn to communicate effectively and support one another, children are empowered to grow into healthy, successful adults. To facilitate this growth, I strive to make therapy a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore their unique experiences and develop mutual understanding. Empowering neurodivergent children, adolescents, and parents to leverage their strengths while navigating challenges has been a cornerstone of my practice.
Throughout my career, I have supported clients across diverse settings, including inpatient and outpatient medical facilities, community-based clinics, and school programs (public, private, and therapeutic). My clinical background includes serving at premier institutions such as Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center, and as a behavioral health provider for the US military. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, and am a lifelong learner, having recently earned my Masters of Teaching in Special Education from Towson University.
I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, and families navigating developmental and behavioral challenges, trauma, and family conflict. This includes evidence-based care for anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, behavioral dysregulation, and difficulties with emotion regulation—all delivered through a strength-based and neurodiversity-affirming lens.
As a child and adolescent specialist, I offer individual therapy, family therapy, and parent education and coaching. My integrative approach draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), elements of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and motivational interviewing. In my work with families, I incorporate elements of Functional Family Therapy (FFT) alongside Strategic and Structural Family Therapy techniques. Across all modalities, my practice centers on fostering self-awareness, improving emotion regulation, and building healthy relationships so that children, adolescents, and their parents cultivate a positive sense of self.
I work with clients from age 4 through young adulthood, as well as their parents. For younger clients, I find that regular collaboration and coaching sessions with parents or caregivers are essential to achieving meaningful progress.
